German simulator manufacturer Simtec Systems had a special kind of news to share during this year’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando. It’s not a new ride or concept, instead they celebrated the founding of a new subsidiary. Named Simtec North America and based in Orlando, the company is adopting the proven concept of Simtec Asia, now for the North American market.

The location in Orlando houses not only a marketing and sales department, but also qualified engineers and site coordinators for installation, commissioning and maintenance. That way, the subsidiary guarantees service to North American customers at high quality standards, by engineers located in the same time zone and speaking the same language. Simtec Systems’ director of business development, Andreas Stickel, says: “Through our local team and the close cooperation with our colleagues in Germany, we can guarantee a smooth installation process and perfect customer service.”

This new subsidiary was not the only big news for the company this year. During the summer of 2023, the company already inaugurated their new facility in Braunschweig, Germany. Thanks to a major order from the USA, received in 2021, the manufacturer need to expand their facilities with a larger production hall. The customer could not yet be disclosed, though the company already said that it’s a “globally active premium customer from Orlando”. Combining both major news items, it is safe to say that Simtec is gearing up rapidly for the American market.
