Description
In Adventure Thru Inner Space riders were 'shrunk' to go on a voyage between atoms and molecules (the "inner space") of a snowflake.
History
Adventure Thru Inner Space was the first ride ever to feature an omnimover transportation system. The ride sytem was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and built by Arrow Dynamics. The omnimover was later used for attractions such as Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Resort - Disneyland (1969) and Walt Disney Resort - Magic Kingdom (1971). Other manufacturers such as Schwarzkopf and Mack Rides created their own version of the omnimover.
The ride closed in 1985 to make way for Star Tours.
