All eyes are set on Gardaland (Castelnuovo del Garda, Italy) today as they open their brand new Jumanji: The Adventure. The new dark ride, that has replaced Ramses: Il Risveglio, is based on the Jumanji-film franchise. The ride has received a complete new interior, scenery and ride system.
Gardaland closed their former Egyptian style dark ride ‘Ramses: Il Risveglio’ in the spring of 2021. The interior of the building was cleared to make way for the new attraction. Gardaland officially announced the contruction of Jumanji: The Adventure in October 2021, stating it would be the most expensive dark ride by Merlin Entertainments with a budget of €20 milion.
The park presented the new motion-based cars in January, which are themed like 4×4 terrain-vehices. The ride system was built by Oceaneering, a first for Europe. The ride will contain 12 8-seater cars with a ride length of 287 meters. Audiovisual Media for the ride was developed by Framestore and theming was built by Futura Form, who shared two work-in-progress photos earlier this week on their LinkIn page.
