The Taiwanese Brogent Technologies is best known for their flying theatre installations but also produce their own media content. Last week they announced that a 12-part series known as Soaring Earth is in the works. Each part will focus on a certain region or country around the globe and aims to showcase the planet’s beauty. Part one, Africa, is set to debut later this month on 22 April.

A trailer for Soaring Earth: Episode 1 – Africa was published by Brogent Technologies on their social media. The 30-second trailer shows breathtaking aerial footage which was shot in over 17 African countries. ”Immerse yourself in [Africa’s] diverse landscapes, rich cultures, and witness the miracle of life as millions of animals migrate. Get ready to discover the wonders of Africa like never before!”, the accompanying post says.

Brogent announced this first part last year during IAAPA Expo Europe 2023. While the company has produced media before, unique for this series is that it will be presented in 10K resolution. While it is mainly designed for flying theatres, like Brogent’s own i-Ride system, it can be licensed for play in any flying theatre. The film is offered in two different lengths and various versions, each tailored for use with either single or multiple projectors, or an LED screen. These different versions enables Brogent’s new series to look great in any flying theatre, while also fitting different operational needs.

The new movie will make its debut at both Brogent owned flying theatres in Taiwan, i-Ride Kaohsiung at their factory and i-Ride Taipei at Nanshan Breeze department store. Both locations will remain using their current projectors to show the new Africa movie. Brogent is currently working on several projects for 2025 which will feature their new LED dome technology.
