2021 saw the Disney+ release of “Behind the Attraction” documentary series by Disney. In the 10 episodes viewers got a look behind the scenes at some of Disney’s most famous rides such as Haunted Mansion and It’s a Small world. A few days ago Disney dropped the trailer for a second, 6 episodes long, season of the series.

The first season of Behind the Attraction was released back in July and August 2021 and consisted of ten episodes. Each episode focussed on a different Disneyland experience and gave viewers an insight in how these experiences were created. Subjects varried from the Jungle Cruise-attraction to the original Disneyland Hotel and included episodes on Haunted Mansion, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror & Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! and It’s A Small World.

The second season is set to debut on November 1st, exclusively on Disney+ and will be, unlike the first season, only six episodes long. Viewers can watch two episodes on dark rides: Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones Adventure, as well as an episode on the EPCOT-park, that features many dark and show rides.

The documentary is produced by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions and Brian Volk-Weis from The Nacelle Company. Seven Bucks Productions were previously responsible for movies such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Shazam! and Jungle Cruise. Currently the production company is also working on the live action adaptation of Disney’s Moana and a yet to be announced Jungle Cruise sequel. The Nacelle Company is best known for their work on The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us.

The first season currently has a 7,7 rating on IMDB, with reviewers praising the exclusive behind the screens shots, while also being critical about the sometimes fast paced narration of the series. All episodes of the second season are set to release on the same day, so make sure to take a day off to watch them all!
