Description

This ride is based on the Guardians of the Galaxy-franchise, part of the Marvel-Universe. The ride takes place inside the Tivan Collection, which is featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy-film. The Guardians are 'collected' here and thus imprisoned. Guests are asked to help them to break out of the Collection.

The (high speed) elevators of the original Tower of Terror attraction in Disney's Hollywood Studios (Walt Disney World, 1994) were supplied by Otis Elevator Company. While it has not been confirmed, it is assumed that Otis also supplied the elevators for this installation.

History

The ride originally opened as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in 2004 and received its current theme in 2017. So far, it is the only Tower of Terror-installation to be rethemed from its original theme.
