With the IAAPA Expo well underway in Orlando, many companies are announcing their newest rides and installations. Triotech is one of them: today, they announced their SuperFly stand-up flying theatre at a press conference. The announcement marks a reboot for their existing stand-up simulator they presented a couple of years ago. Along with a new name, Triotech announced a new installation will be coming to NEB’s Fun World, a family entertainment centre in Canada.

Part immersive simulator, part flying theatre, SuperFly has visitors soaring to new heights. The dynamic attraction sees visitors standing on top of motion simulator platforms. By letting guests remain standing, the amount of motion they experienced, and by extension the immersion, is increased. Special effects such as scents, blast, leg ticklers, water, and fresh wind have been added to amplify the excitement. “SuperFly is a one-of-its-kind experience. The installation at NEB’s Fun World will be the first in North America and the world’s largest. No doubt that NEB’s Fun World will make it a hit!” commented Ernest Yale, Triotech’s Founder and CEO, who hosted the press conference.

The SuperFly attraction to be deployed at NEB’s Fun World will feature 23 platforms offering room for 2 people, resulting in a total capacity of 46 per ride. Tom England, President of NEB’s Fun World, was quoted as saying: “Triotech’s innovative SuperFly was selected to diversify our offering and attract new visitors. We’re eager to offer one more Triotech experience to our clients. Having the possibility to change the story for Halloween, the Holidays, and other special occasions is a great advantage for having visitors coming back all year long.” NEB’s Fun World already operates an interactive theatre built by Triotech.

The SuperFly is not exactly a new product. Under the name ‘Stand-up Theater’, the ride has been part of the company’s portfolio for a couple of years already. At the IAAPA Expo Europe in London in 2022, Triotech even brought a demonstration model to show expo visitors the experience of this type of ride. The company now thought the time was right to bring the system to new heights, constructing to largest installation to date and giving it a new name. Whether more installation of the SuperFly system are to be launched soon could not yet be disclosed.
