Description
Around the World in 80 Days was a dark boat ride, based on the famous novel of the same name by Jules Verne. The last scene brought guests to a scene depicting Alton Towers, with a scale model of "The Haunted House" being added in 1991 to promote the upcoming ride.
History
The animatronics from Sally Dark Rides were not present when the ride first opened, but were added at a later date. The ride was rethemed to Toyland Tours for the 1994 season.
