French theme park and Zoo, Le Pal, has set an opening date for their new interactive dark ride Champi’Folies that is replacing their old Ciné Dynamik 3D-simulator, which closed down in 2022. The attraction will be the first implementation of the “Smash & Reload”-dark ride by BoldMove Nation.

Le Pal has scheduled the attraction to open on Saturday 29 April. Champi’Folies will follow the destructive path of a group of mushroom creatures called “Mushies”, that have been driven out of their homes in the forest and into the city, represented by screens and physical set pieces, where the guest will need to shoot them with the “cuber” ice gun, trapping them inside ice cubes.  According to a blog post by Bold Move Nation, each Mushie will have it’s own individual artificial intelligence programming so that no two rides will be the same.

Champi’Folies is the first installation of BoldMove Nation’s Smash & Reload concept and coincidently the first dark ride for both BoldMove and Le Pal. The attraction was designed for a very small footprint of only 225 m² and a track length of only 35 meters. The attraction is designed by BoldMove and features interactive systems by Triotech, a ride system by Gosetto and media by Polymorph.
