Cadbury World have operated a chocolate themed dark ride since 1997, with Cadabra. The ride will now be retired after 27 years of operation, over which time it gave more than 14 million rides to guests. It will be replaced with the new for 2024 Cadbury Chocolate Quest. This new trackless interactive dark ride features a ride system from ETF Ride Systems.

Cadabra saw guests boarding purple old timers through scenes where they join the chuckle beans on a quest to find the secret ingredient to Cadbury chocolate. This plot is similar to the new ride, where riders will being able to use laser guns to collect the ingredients needed for Cadbury Chocolate. Freddo, the frog character featured on a popular Cadbury chocolate bar will lead guests along in this chocolate adventure. This new ride will feature a blend of physical sets and screens, along with the emphasis on interactive elements.

Cadbury World was purchased by Merlin Entertainments in January 2023, with this new ride being one of their first big projects to improve the factory tour experience. A total of 8 million pounds is being invested into the location by Merlin. This investment sees a greater overall remodel of Cadbury World, with other attractions being upgraded and enhanced as well. An exact opening date for this ride has not yet been confirmed, but it is currently set for the spring of 2024.
