Description
Time Riders features British actor John Cleese as inventor Horace Garrison Wells (a reference to science-fiction writer H.G. Wells, writer of ‘The Time Machine’ (1895)). The story revolves around a recently invented time machine.
The main show of Time Riders takes place in motion simulators. 8 simulators are present, though for many years the ride hasn't operated with all 8 simulators at the same time.
History
Time Riders is a retheme of Batman Abenteuer (1996-2004). When StarParks bought Warner Bros. Movie World in 2004, the company did not extend the contract with Warner Brothers for the use of their intellectual property. The park was renamed to Movie Park Germany and all IP-based rides were closed or rethemed. Batman Abenteuer was turned into Time Riders.
Even though the storyline has changed, both the interior and the gothic exterior of the building did not change much.
