Description
The Studio Tour (by Universal also referred to as 'The World-Famous Studio Tour') is a tram tour along sets and scenery from famous movies that were produced at Universal Studios, such as Back to the Future, Jurassic Park and Jaws.
It also contains a number of dark ride scenes, most notably the famous earthquake scene and 'Immersive Tunnel'-like scenes King Kong 3D and Fast & Furious - Supercharched. During these scenes, the tram is standing on a motion platform.
The full experience takes aproximly an hour.
History
Universal Studios operated a studio tour from 1915 to the late 1920s. The idea of the tour was revived when Universal opened its first theme park in Hollywood. Since 1963, Universal has updated the tour on a regular basis with new set pieces, scenes and experiences.
For at least the earthquake and King Kong scenes, Anitech Systems supplied the show control.
