Description
Universal Creative is the internal design and development division for the Universal Studios theme parks.
History
The division was founded in 1968, four years after the opening of Universal Studios Hollywood. Back then, the division was known as MCA Planning and Development, referring to media conglomerate MCA Inc. which was merged with Universal in those days. When MCA was sold from Universal in 1996, the division needed a new name, which became Universal Creative from 1997.
