Description
Pirates of the Caribbean is a boat ride that passes along various pirate scenes. the ride includes two drops.
In 2003, Disney produced the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, that was loosely based on the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions in the Disneyland parks.
History
Arrow Dynamics was said to be a consult for the ride system, but not the manufacturer. The manufacturer of the ride system remains unknown.
In 2006 and 2011 the ride had a refurbishment during which animatronics and projections of Jack Sparrow and other characters were added to the ride, based on the film franchise of Pirates of the Caribbean.
This is the only installation of the traditional Pirates of the Caribbean ride that does not feature a restaurant looking out over one of the ride's scenes.
