Description
Das Lila Geheimnis was the 1st incarnation of Europa-Park's revolving theatre and featured animatronics. It was a sponsored ride and featured the story of how Milka chocolate is produced.
The theatre is still at the park today as Journey to Rulantica.
''Das Lila Geheimnis'' is German for ''The Purple Secret'', referring to Milka's mascot, which is a purple cow.
History
The ride opened in 1990 as Das Lila Geheimnis and was a revolving theatre with animatronics, featuring the story of how Milka chocolate was produced. It was closed after 1998 due to the license with Milka expiring, and replaced with eMotional, a show that utilised fountains and lasers. eMotional got in turn replaced with Wunder dieser Welt in 2003. This show only played one season, as the next incarnation, Zeitreise, opened in 2004. This show lasted for 6 years, with Historama opening in 2010. Historama stuck around until the opening of Journey to Rulantica in 2018.
