Description
This ride is based on Justice League, a team of superheroes from the DC Comics. In either a pre-show or queueline video, riders are asked to help save the world, since the bad guys have captured a couple of the Justice League's superheroes. After boarding the motion-based vehicles riders can shoot targets, both on screens and real targets, to help defeat the bad guys.
History
Justice League: Battle for Metropolis is designed by Sally Dark Rides and built throughout several Six Flags-parks. The first version opened in 2015 in Six Flags over Texas, a few weeks before the installation in Six Flags St. Louis. The ride received the THEA Award for Outstanding Achievement in 2018.
Justice League: Battle for Metropolis was built in the same building that previously housed Scooby-Doo! Ghostblasters: The Mystery of the Scary Swamp (2002-2014).
Since the covid pandemic, it has been noted that most, if not all installations of this attraction no longer operate with their original 3D multimedia.
