Description
Ice Age Adventure was based loosely on the first Ice Age movie (2002) by Blue Sky Studios. It features scenes of the movie's main characters Manny, Sid and Diego on their way to escape the ice age. The final scene, after the drop, was set on the beach, the ice age successfully escaped.
History
Ice Age Adventure replaced Looney Tunes Adventure when the park transitioned from Warner Bros. Movie World to Movie Park Germany. Ice Age Adventure reused the ride system and large parts of the decor (namely the rockwork). After the closure of Ice Age Adventure due to the license expiring, the ride now devoid of water and animatronics was used as a walkthrough haunted house called Wrong Turn, before finally being replaced by dark ride Movie Park Studios in 2021.
Some of the old Ice Age animatronics are still used in the park during the Halloween season, although they have been altered as to get around the expired licence.
