Description
This ride offers a classic ghost train experience, though modern techniques are used for the ride system and animatronics. The ride was designed and built by R&R Creative Amusement Design, with the animatronics built by Sally Dark Rides. I.E. Park delivered a new ride system with rotating cars.
Haunted Castle features voices by actor Richard Doyle.
History
Since 1931, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has featured a haunted house of some sort on the spot were the Haunted Castle is currently located. The original installation saw many rethemes, and was finally replaced by a more modern ride in 1980. This ride in turn was completely removed and replaced by the current Haunted Castle in 2010.
