This week, the Disneyland Paris published their first video in the series InsidEars – Live from the Magic. These videos give a view behind the scenes, now the parks are closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The first videos shows various maintenance work throughout the park. Among the shown works is the refurbishment of Les Voyages de Pinocchio. Apart from this refurbishment, the park is currently also working on Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains and Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast.

In the video, the presenters Mathias and Chloë follow decorator Morgane who shows some ride’s refurbished scenes . She tells that the painting and lighting of the ride is completely redone over that last months. “The blacklight paintings get old pretty quickly with the lighting, so we’ve redone everything to make sure it’s really bright.” Apart from the paintings, the lights have been replaced by LED.

The video generally shows the finished work in the Pleasure Island scene, where the redone paintings once again create bright colors. “The scene has really taken back all the light that it had lost over the years,” tells Morgane. The entire refurbishment of the ride takes about two months. It was planned to be done later, but was done earlier now the park is closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
