Ye Old Mill

In 2018 fifteen (15) new FRP boats were designed and manufactured for Ye Old Mill to make it impossible to swamp a boat unless it is overloaded in excess of 120%. The boat dimensions are 10 feet 2 inches (122 inches) long from stem to stern, 4 feet (48 inches) wide and 3 feet (36 inches) high. At that same time the Minnesota State Fair invested in a new Ye Old Mill station conveyor, station platforms, propulsion paddlewheel, drive gearmotors, operator controls and electrical service to said equipment to comply with ASTM 2291-15 and ASTM 1193-15. In addition, the electrical service and area lighting in the patron load and unload station and queue area were brought up to current code.
