Description
Suspended dark ride with onboard audio and video. The Jorvik Viking Centre is an educational centre/museum. The ride teaches visitors about the lifestyle of the vikings and other nationalities in 10th century York.
The final portion of the ride features over 800 real artefacts that had been found around the area.
History
The current ride system was constructed in 2001 as a replacement to the original attraction that opened in 1984, which was not suspended.
The Jorvik Viking Centre flooded during Christmas, 2015. The scenery of the ride had to be rebuilt.
