Texastrein

When the Texastrein opened in 1976, it featured a layout with two stations. It ran from the western Cowboy Town village at the south east corner of the park, to a western decor north of the park's lake. After a few seasons of operation, the park figured they needed a storage for the trains in the winter, but they found out that a storage on a side track was not an option. To gain a shelter, a tunnel was added in 1982 on the northern side of the track. The interior of the tunnel was decorated with scenes of mine workers and was called the Silvermine.

A few years later in 1985 the tunnel was extended with the so called ''Time Tunnel'' that contained futuristic scenery. Much of the original outdoor theming was removed in favour of Indiana River which opened in 1991. The track was shortened to a single loop around Indiana River in 1994 following the construction of Kinderland. This meant the train no longer made a stop at Cowboy Town.

The Texas Train closed in 2000 although the train tracks remained in place for 20 years. As of the 2021 season, the track on the visible parts of the park have been removed. The track on the far north side still remains to this day. The tunnels and decor of the Silvermine and Time Tunnel continued to stay on site and were sometimes used for a haunted house during the Halloween season. The insides were completely gutted in 2021.
