Description
In Templet riders go through scenes which are themed in ancient Egyptian style, in the way Egypt is depicted by the Lego sets. They can shoot targets that are hidden among the decorations. 295.000 Lego blocks are used on the ride and it features 120 animatronics.
"Templet" is Danish for "Temple".
History
Templet is based on the 'Adventurers' Lego series, sold between 1998 and 2003. Various Legoland parks have a dark ride based on the theme, that can be devided in two seperate dark rides: Lost Kingdom Adventure (2008) and Templet (2010).
Lost Kingdom Adventure was designed by Sally Dark Rides. Four installations were built in Legoland California (2008), Legoland Windsor (called 'Laser Raiders', 2009), Legoland Florida (2011) and Legoland Malaysia (2012).
Templet however differs in ride system and scenery. They are believed not to be designed by Sally Dark Rides as they do not appear on their website. Versions of Templet were built in Legoland Deutschland (as Temple X-pedition, 2013), Legoland Japan (as Lost Kingdom Adventure, 2014) and Legoland Dubai (as Lost Kingdom Adventure, 2016).
