Description
Spookhuis was a ghost train that Bobbejaanland bought from Gottlieb Löffelhardt (one of the founders of Phantasialand, Germany). According to fansite Bobbejaanland Nostalgie, the ride was bought after Löffelhardt encouraged Bobbejaan it would attract more guests to his park.
"Spookhuis" is Dutch for "Haunted House".
History
The ride was a travelling model and was constructed in 1952. It was known as ''Löffelhardt's Spukschloss'' (Löffelhardt's Ghost House) on the fairgrounds and continued to travel there under a different operator and name after Bobbejaanland did away with it after one season.
It was replaced by the Ferris Wheel in 1976, which still stands in the park today.
