Description
Puri Misteri was an Omnimover in fantasy, haunted house and pirate theme. Its main story was based on that of Bima searching for holy water.
The ride was partially based on Disney's Haunted Mansion, even including its own version of the Stretching Room (see first image), here called the Penggodokan room.
''Puri Misteri'' is Indonesian for ''Mystery Castle''.
History
The ride opened in 1992 and was built entirely in-house. Later that year it got destroyed in a fire, leaving just the facade and queue line intact. The site was left abandoned until 2003. Finally, operator Jaya Ancol received insurance money for the accident and decided to build a dark ride on this spot again, which became Perang Bintang.
Various Omnimover vehicles from the ride survived the fire and are on display in the park.
