Description
Königliche Abenteuer is a version of the interactive dark ride 'Kingdom Quest' that can be found in many Legoland Discovery Centres. In the ride guests can shoot interactive screens which are placed in decorations themed like a lego-built castle. Set in a medieval Lego theme, riders need to save the princess.
"Königliche Abenteuer" is German for "Royal Adventure".
History
Legoland Discovery Centre used to have a location in Duisburg (10 kilometers from the current location in Oberhausen) that opened in 2008. It contained the small dark ride Drachenburg, comparable to the Drachenbahn in Legoland Discovery Centre Berlin, including the same ride system by Mack Rides. The ride system was moved from Duisburg to Oberhausen in 2013. During this move, the ride received the new 'Kingdom Quest' theme by Alterface. Most other Kingdom Quest rides contain a trackless ride system built by ETF Ride Systems.
