Description
This dark ride takes its riders through the history of the Bavaria Filmstudios, showing sets and scenes from some of the major productions of the studios. Most notable are the tv-series Tatort, and the films Die unendliche Geschichte (The NeverEnding Story) and Das Boot.
History
The exhibition in which this dark ride is located opened in 2011 as the 'Bullyversum', and is located in a hall which previously housed a stunt show. In 2019, the hall was redeveloped to host a new exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Bavaria Filmstudios. The dark ride was rethemed to show scenes from famous productions of the studios.
Because Filmstadt Atelier was meant as anniversary exposition, it closed after two seasons on 2 November 2020, including the dark ride. The ride vehicles were acquired by Ritter Rost - Magic Park Verden for their dark ride Drachen Magic.
