Description

Cueva de las Tarántulas is situated underneath spinning coaster 'Tarántula' and relates to the coaster's theme.
The ride closed in 2019 for refurbishments. No indication for reopening has been announced.

"Cueva de las Tarántulas" is Spanish for "Cave of the Tarantulas"

History

Cueva de las Tarántulas replaced the former dark ride The Old Mine 1910, which in turn already replaced the dark ride Los Piratas (spanish for The Pirates). All installations are rethemes of the same ride system, originating from 1984.

The building for Cueva de las Tarántulas still stands, but the ride system has been removed.
