Description

This classic Omnimover offered guests a ride through a medieval castle spanning two floors. 13 scenes loosely depicted the story of how the castle got intruded by knights of a rival castle. It took guests past knights, a torture chamber, throne room and farm yard, ultimately ending up in the cellar of the castle in which a large dragon was guarding a treasure.

"Burg Falkenstein" is German for "Falkenstein Castle" and refers to the real life castle located in the small village of Falkenstein.

History

After years of minimal upkeep, Burg Falkenstein closed after the 2022 season to be rethemed to the Smurfs. Many of the ride's attributes were auctioned off to fans and the park put the original music and sound effects on SoundCloud.
