Description
Blue Fire Megacoaster is set in the Iceland section of the park. The coaster includes a dark ride section before the launch. Storywise, workers find a new powerful source of energy, which makes riders of the roller coaster blast out of the dark ride section.
History
Blue Fire was originally sponsored by Gazprom, the Russian gas company, relating to the energy-themed backstory of the ride. Sponsorship changed in 2020, when Gazprom was excahnged for Nord Stream 2 AG, the gas transport line from Russia to Germany. After the start of the war in Ukraine, in March 2022, Europa-Park stopped the sponsorship contract.
