Description
Classic car ride which took riders past decors across two floors and 170 characters. Various fairy tale and fantasy characters were represented as well as Ed Euromaus (and his relatives), who is the main mascot for Europa-Park to this day.
"Ciao Bambini" is Italian for ''Hello Children''.
History
The ride was named Märchenbahn (Fairytale Train) upon opening, after this it was renamed to Märchenbahn Schlaraffenland / Euro-Maus im Schlaraffenland (Euro-Maus in the Land of Milk and Money), although the name Märchenbahn would continued to be used also. In 1995, the name was changed to Ciao Bambini. The interior of the ride was changed here and there over the years, like when animatronicshow Euro Maus Musik Revue (manufactured by Hofmann Figuren) closed and a cat character was moved inside. The ride was eventually rethemed to become Piccolo Mondo in 2011.
Rethemed versions:
- Ciao Bambini (1982-2011)
- Piccolo Mondo (2011-present)
