Universal Orlando Resort has unveiled an exciting sneak peek into their highly anticipated new dark ride, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. This thrilling attraction is set to be a centerpiece of Epic Universe, the all-new theme park currently under development.
Starting on the streets of Paris, guests will enter the Ministry of Magic through the Metro-Floo network, a teleporting method of transportation frequently seen in the series. The atrium of the Ministry is expected to be quite impressive with many effects and details throughout the experience.
As they walk through the queue, they will learn that everyone is busy preparing for the trial of Dolores Umbridge for her crimes against the Wizarding World. Walking through Umbridge’s office, guests will meet her former house-elf, Higgledy, who seems happy to be cleaning it out.
Guests will then board an omni directional lift that seats up to 14, built by Simtec Systems, which will take them further into the Ministry to witness Umbridge’s trial. But like with most theme park attractions, things don’t go as smoothly as planned and Umbridge escapes, leading the guests on a chase throughout the Ministry, moving in all directions and visiting areas such as the Department of Magical Creatures, the Magical Archives, and the Time Room.
