    Description

In Challenge of Tutankhamon guests are invited to join an expedition into the temple of Tutankhamon to collect treasures for an historical museum. The temple however turns out to be cursed by an Egyptian god. Guests are then asked to shoot targets in order to escape from the curse, collecting points along the way.

The number of points determines the end of the ride, of which there are 3: a bad ending, in which the car goes straight for the exit. A neutral ending, in which they get to fight Tutankhamon but lose, and a good ending, in which they win from Tutankhamon and get to see the treasure room (as well as a 'cliff hanger' implying the curse isn't actually lifted).

The colour of the target determines the amount of points it gives:

    • Green: 250 points
    • Orange: 500 points
    • Red: 1000 points
    History

The building that houses Challenge of Tutankhamon previously housed Le Secret de La Licorne (The Secret of the Unicorn), a free flow boat ride revolving around Tintin. After the ride was closed after the 1995 season, it stayed dormant for several years, except when in use for a haunted house during Halloween. This lasted until the park, now bought out by the Six Flags chain, decided to put Challenge of Tutankhamon in its place.

Those who are a little more observant can spot the Six Flags logo hidden in the queue-line, even though the park is no longer owned by them.
