Description
A former wildlife park in the grounds of Cricket House, which operated as "Crinkley Bottom at Cricket St Thomas" theme park, themed to the Mr Blobby IP, between 1994–1996. The theme park attractions closed in 1998 and the remaining wildlife park closed in 2009.
History
The park originally opened in 1967 as Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park, in the grounds of Cricket House, Somerset. In 1994, it was developed as a theme park themed to Mr Blobby and renamed "Crinkley Bottom at Cricket St Thomas", with a contract with Noel Edmons' company Unique Group.
In 1996, Unique Group and Cricket St Thomas prematurely ended their contract and the park reverted to Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park. Some of the theme park attractions continued to operate for a few seasons.
Within two years, the park was sold to new owners and the attractions removed. The remaining wildlife park eventually closed in 2009 and is now the grounds of a hotel.
