For the second time this year and after many delays, another new Legoland Discovery Center opened its doors, this time located in the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The center is similar to existing Legoland Discovery Centers and features attractions like Miniland, a 3D cinema and of course the Imagination Express dark ride.
All Legoland Discovery Centers feature a small dark ride. Centers that opened before 2017 feature a Kingdom Quest ride, a trackless interactive dark ride developed by Alterface and ETF Ride Systems. Imagination Express is also a trackless interactive dark ride, but has a different theme. These rides were developed by Alterface and ETF Ride Systems as well.
Imagination Express at Legoland Discovery Center New Jersey is the fourth installation of the Imagination Express to open, after Philadelphia, Shenyang and the Bay Area installation which opened just last week. One more Legoland Discovery Center will open this year in Scheveningen (The Hague, The Netherlands) and it is currently scheduled to open on the 24th of June. Adults are not allowed entry to Legoland Discovery Centers if they are not accompanying a child.
