It was just a few months ago when Merlin Entertainment announced the coming of Lego Discovery Centre Brussels, which was scheduled to open sometime during the upcoming summer. The opening of the centre is still on schedule, as it was revealed recently that the opening date will be 24 June. Europe’s eighth Discovery Centre in the capital of Belgium will offer a variety of activities, including the Imagination Express.

Imagination Express is an interactive dark ride with a small footprint. Guests can rack up point by shooting all kinds of Lego related items, both physical and projected. Scenes depict an oversized Lego world, which include a diamond filled cave, underwater setting (a giant bathtub) and even outer space. This line of ride was debuted at Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia in 2017. The ride was designed by Merlin Magic Making and developed by Alterface, Threshold Animation Studios and ETF Ride Systems. It has since been copied to newly opened Discovery Centres in the U.S.A., China and the Netherlands. Brussels will be home to the sixth installation.

Aside from the dark ride, Lego Discovery Centre Brussels will offer the usual Discovery Centre aspects. Some highlights include Mini World, a collection of Lego-sized famous buildings, a 4D cinema, workshops and of course all the Lego bricks you could ever need at your disposal.
