Valentines Day 2025 will mark the official opening of the brand new Minion Land in Universal Studios Singapore. Dubbed as an exciting three-part adventure, the area will immerse guests into the world of the Despicable Me and Minions films, by means of a new Simulator attraction, adding another Show Ride to our database.
Opening 14th February next year, the three adventures will be split into the subsections of Minion Marketplace – three new themed shops, Gru’s Neighbourhood – containing the Simulator attraction Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and Super Silly Fun Land – hosting two family flat rides and a restaurant.
The park shared a construction update a few weeks ago, in which progress on the area and its attractions can be seen.
Of course this is not the first time we have seen an iteration of the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction, which first opened in Universal Studios Florida in July 2012. As of this upcoming opening, every operating Universal Resort will contain the attraction. Guests will experience a pre-show before boarding the ride, where they will visit Gru’s super villain laboratory before being transformed into Minions for some inevitable Mayhem.
Construction began on this area following the closure of Madagascar: A Crate Adventure in March 2022, which made way for a SG$5 billion expansion for Universal Studios Singapore. Following on from Minion Land will be another highly anticipated Super Nintendo World, the likes of which we have seen at both Universal Studios Japan and Hollywood.
