Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be the newest addition to Walt Disney World’s EPCOT park. The ride is under construction in the French pavilion of the park’s World Showcase section. The new ride is similar to Ratatouille: The Adventure, which has been operating in the Walt Disney Studios in Paris since 2014. Today, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek announced the opening date for the new ride on a Disney shareholders’ meeting.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open on the 1st of October 2021. That is also the starting date of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. Together with the new ride, the entire expansion of the French pavilion including the new restaurant La Crêperie de Paris will open to public on October 1st.
The ride will be similar to the installation in the European Disney resort. That means that the ride is a trackless dark ride with motion-based vehicles, which combines real sets with 3D projections. Throughout the ride, guests feel as if they have shrunk down to the size of Remy, the rat from Pixar’s Ratatouille film.
