The Dutch miniature park Madurodam, situated in the city of The Hague, is currently working on their new ride “The Flying Dutchman”. This ride will take its passengers on a flight experience inside a real Dakota DC-3 airplane. On the 30th of April the plane was lifted into the park.

The park has worked on renovating the plane for 1,5 years. It now resembles a 1940s-1950s Dakota plane of the Dutch airline KLM. The plane is 18 meters long and 30 meters wide. It was placed next to the scale model of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

The Flying Dutchman will be the sixth ride in the park, which started expanding their attractions beyond the showcase of scale models of Dutch buildings in 2014. It is not yet known whether the ride will classify as simulator on DRdb, but we will keep you posted!
