Description
Wild Arctic was a simulator ride that took riders on a flight over Antarctica. When it opened in 1995, it was the first attraction that would have an exit leading towards an animal exhibit, which became a trademark for SeaWorld attractions.
History
Wild Arctic did not reopen after the temporary closure caused by Covid-19 in the spring of 2020. It currently remains standing, but not operating.
Wild Arctic was a retheme of the former Mission: Bermuda Triangle-simulator. That simulator was copied to SeaWorld San Diego. The San Diego version was rethemed to Wild Arctic in 1997.
Rethemed versions:
- Mission: Bermuda Triangle (1992-1995)
- Wild Arctic (1995-2020)
