Description
De Vuurproef takes its riders in groups of 6 people on board a locomotive, which the riders have to 'control' by combined effort; each of the riders has his own function in the locomotive.
De Vuurproef features Dutch actors Rutger Hauer (1944-2019) and Nhung Dam (1984).
'Vuurproef' is literally translated as 'fire test', but refers to the English phrase 'trial by fire'. In Dutch the word also refers to a tough and crucial test that a person must go through.
History
Il Luster Productions produced the pre-show multimedia. House of Secrets produced the animated ride film. The ride was closed for some time in 2021 to add new shadow projections, change some of the lightning and rebuild the queue. The animatronics in the old queue were replaced by a TV screen showing a quiz about objects in the queue.
