Description
The Pretzel Company constructed mainly dark ride systems, known by the name 'Pretzel' referring to its winding lay-out and sharp turns.
History
The Pretzel Company was founded by Leon Cassidy and Marvin Rempfer, who built and patented the world's first car-based dark ride in 1928. The company is regarded essential in the development of the dark ride by the creation of the track-based car ride system. Leon's son William Cassidy ran the company after his father. He sold the rights to build the rides in 1979. The company built over 1400 rides during its existance.
