Kingdom Quest is an interactive dark ride that can be found in many Legoland Discovery Centres. In the ride guests can shoot interactive screens which are placed in decorations themed like a lego-built castle. Set in a medieval Lego theme, riders need to save the princess.
Legoland Discovery Centre Chicago was one of the first three Discovery Centres (along with Berlin and the now closed Duisburg). The three contained a small dark ride, based on the 'Dragon' semi-dark ride rollercoasters in the Legoland parks. The ride system was built by Mack. In 2012, the ride was upgraded to a Kingdom Quest version. It kept the ride system of the original dark ride and most of its theming. The story however was changed to that of Kingdom Quest, adding video screens and an interactive system. This makes this version different from other Kingdom Quest rides.
