Description
Golding Leisure Design International designed and built animatronic shows, dark rides and other attractions from 1972 until it closed in 1990. It was once one of the biggest themed entertainment studios in the UK and built for parks all around Europe.
History
Golding Leisure Design was originally founded as Keith Sparks Associates in August 1972 by attractions producer Keith Sparks. Keith was soon joined by Robin Golding. Keith sold the business to form Sparks Creative Services in 1982, leaving Robin as the full owner, and the studio name was subsequently changed to Golding Leisure Design International.
Space Leisure was founded in 1984 as a subsidiary. Following the closure of Golding Leisure Design, Space Leisure continued as a separate company run by Robin's song Mark Golding, producing for several of the same clients as his father's studio.
