Description
The story behind Fluch der Kassandra is explained during a pre-show. It loosely based on Cassandra, daughter of the king of Troy in Greek mythology, who gained the ability of seeing the future from god Apollo. However, her prophecy of the demise of the city of Troy was not believed. When Troy fell, and Cassandra was murdered, she cursed all those who were to blame. In order to undo the curse, her soul was sealed in an amphora.
Many years later, the people had forgotten about Cassandra and the amphora ended up in a church. One day, someone opened the amphora, releasing the curse into the building.
"Fluch der Kassandra" is German for "Curse of Cassandra".
