Description
This Vekoma Madhouse includes one pre-show featuring a video projection of actors. The story is based on Chinese mythology and revolves around prince Akang, whose bride Hsiautsai is taken away by demon Yanluowang, who wants to marry her also.
The demon invites us to join his wedding. In the main show we are taking a seat at the wedding table. Only with the help of his four servants, who all master one of the four elements, can Akang prevail and rescue Hsiautsai. The final confrontation in which Yanluowang is defeated, is projected onto the ceiling (in reality the floor of the drum), with the projects being hidden in the pottery on the table.
Feng Ju roughly translates to ''Hurricane'' in Chinese, making for the name ''Hurricane Palace''.

History
Feng Ju Palace was built on the remains of the Chinese animatronic-show Tanagra Theater, which burnt down in 2001. Like with the original China Town, all aspects of the outside of the building were made in China, shipped over, and rebuild by Chinese craftsmen.
When the adjacent area Klugheim was being constructed, the part of Feng Ju Palace's roof facing it was painted black as to better fit in with the theming.
NOB Decor pitched an idea for ''Thunder Palace'' to Phantasialand, Feng Ju Palace would end up partially resembling this concept.
