Description
The Den of Lost Thieves as an interactive dark ride in a cartoon pirate style.
History
Den of Lost Thieves was completely newly developed by Sally Dark Rides. It was built inside a building that previously housed another ride, though it is not known what type of ride that was.
Sally sold four installations of the Den of Lost Thieves: Before the installation in Indiana Beach was built, similar rides were constructed at Wildwood Boardwalk (NJ, U.S.A.) (1997) and in Seoul Land (South-Korea, 1997). In 2001 the fourth installation was built in the shopping centre Braodway at the Beach (SC, U.S.A.). Currently only the versions in Indiana Beach and Seoul Land are operating.
According to a 1999 DAFE article, the cars for this attraction were constructed by Bell's Amusement Park, in addition to cars for dark rides at Wichita, Kansas' Joyland and Wonderland in Amarillo, TX.
