Today, May 21st 2021, Legoland Billund (Denmark) celebrates the opening of the newest themed area: The LEGO Movie World. Similar to the area of the same name in Legoland Florida, the new area includes two flatrides and a brand new flying theater. The area is based on the franchise from the LEGO Movies and means visitors can meet with life-sized versions of characters like Emmet and Lucy.

“We have been waiting for the opening of the LEGO Movie World for a very, very long time,” says Christian Woller, director of Legoland Billund. “It is a heavily themed experience, where our guests will feel that they are fully immersed in the well-known universe from the LEGO Movie. In the middle of it all, we open a unique ride that you can not experience anywhere else in Scandinavia.”

The new flying theater is called Emmet’s Flying Adventure – Masters of Flight. After riders enter the eye-catching building the embark on a crazy flight with Emmet and other LEGO Movie characters. The installation is built by Brogent Technologies, and is similar to the ride in Legoland Florida. The whole area is built in close co-operation with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
