Starting from 5 May 2022, the Fantawild Dreamland park in Wuhu (Anhui province, China) will be temporarily closed in order to allow for renovation work which includes the upgrading of various attractions. It is not yet known which rides or shows will be affected by this project. Nevertheless, the park contains 5 dark rides and show rides which will, for now, be inaccessible to visitors.

The news came fairly unexpectedly, with the park stating one of the main reasons for the temporary closure as having been significantly affected by the ongoing pandemic. Guests that held booked tickets for visits to the park during this time have been offered a refund or the chance to rebook for a later time. Although a re-opening date is not currently known, it will be announced in due course.

The city of Wuhu is home to 3 Fantawild properties in total, with Dreamland being the second of these to open back in December of 2010. It was the first park in the chain to open under this name and, at the time, offered several brand new attractions developed by Fantawild such as Qin Dynasty Adventure, Whitesnake Maiden’s Fury and Wizard Academy. These popular rides have since gone on to be installed in several other parks throughout the country.

In 2015, Oriental Heritage Wuhu opened as a second gate adjacent to this park and will continue to entertain guests who wish to visit the resort in the immediate future. In the meantime, Fantawild Wuhu promise that this brief time apart from their valued visitors will improve the experience for everyone.
