Bobbejaanland will say goodbye to one of their classic rides in 2022. The indoor log flume Indiana River will be rethemed and reopen as a brand new experience for the 2023 season. The park has released artwork for three different themes, that were shared by fanclub BjlFans on Twitter. The park still has to make a final decision on the theme.
According to Dutch website Looopings, Bobbejaanland want to do something completely different with the 32 year old log flume. The park asked KCC Entertainment Design to work on the three new possible themes. “We want to create something completely new that includes a storyline” says a spokesperson of the park to Looopings. The three designs revolve around a mysterious factory in a Scandinavian town, a dangerous volcano or a medieval arena.
Indiana River originally opened in 1991, though the original theming was not finished until a year later. The park’s founder Bobbejaan Schoepen worked on the concept for the attraction, that utilised a ride system by Intamin Amusement Rides.
It is not yet known whether Indiana River will operate for the entirety of the 2022 season.
